E-TCC IN NIGERIA<\/h1>\n

With a mission to operate a transparent and efficient tax system that optimizes tax revenue\u00a0collection and voluntary compliance, the Federal Government of Nigeria through FIRS has brought to you, self-service portals at your\u00a0convenience.<\/p>\n

You can now apply for your Tax Clearance Certificate<\/a> online through The Federal Inland Revenue Service Tax Clearance Certificate Application Portal via their website http:\/\/www.firs.gov.ng.<\/p>\n

Other services you can also do online are:

STEPS ON HOW TO APPLY & DOWNLOAD TCC ONLINE or E-TCC<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Get to the FIRS TCC Application Portal
\nThe FIRS TCC Application Portal can be accessed at the URL: https:\/\/tcc.firs.gov.ng
\n2.\u00a0Registration
\nBefore applying for Tax Clearance Certificate, the taxpayer has to first register on the portal.\u00a0 Click on
\n\u201cRegistration\u201d will open a pop up window for selection of taxpayer type.<\/p>\n

Note:\u00a0Clicking on the type (Individual\/ Forex\/ Corporate) will open the respective registration page.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Entering the TIN and clicking on Retrieve button will display the details of the taxpayer. The taxpayer
\nhas to pick the \u201cDate of Incorporation\u201d, check the \u201cI confirm that the above information is correct and
\ncurrent for further transactions.\u201d Statement and click on Submit button.
\nA message of successful submission will be displayed with application no.<\/p>\n

Simultaneously an e-mail will be sent to the registered e-mail ID containing first time password
\nand Account Activation link.<\/p>\n

\"e-TCC<\/p>\n

Important thing to note:<\/strong><\/span> At this stage, you have not made your TCC application<\/a>. Experience has shown that many taxpayers will stop at this stage and go to FIRS office to complete the application and they will be turn back in many cases.<\/p>\n

The taxpayer should login to the portal by entering TIN<\/a> and the first time password and clicking
\non \u201cLogin\u201d button.\u00a0After first login, system would prompt to change password. The taxpayer can set his\/ her preferred\u00a0password and click on Submit button. FIRS portal will open the profile page. Taxpayer details will be displayed under \u201cProfile\u00a0Details\u201d menu.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Each time a taxpayer logs into the portal, taxpayer information like Tax Office, Name, Address, Email,
\nMobile will be automatically updated as pet in TIN Database. The other way to update taxpayer
\ninformation is by clicking on the \u201cClick this for Re-validation\u201d button.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Apply Tax Clearance Certificate Application (TCC)<\/a>
\nThe taxpayer can apply TCC after logging into the portal.
\nClick on Apply TCC will open the TCC application form. The form will be displayed based the taxpayer\u00a0type.<\/p>\n

After filling the required fields and clicking on \u201cSubmit\u201d button will submit the application.<\/p>\n

Filling the TCC Application<\/a> Form<\/h2>\n

1. Nature of Trade\/Business:\u00a0This asks for information about your Trade\/Business. Fill this field to proceed.
\nThis field is interactive. Enter a letter and the field will provide you with a list to choose from as
\nshown below:<\/p>\n

2. Turnover of the company in last 3 years in N<\/p>\n

3. Particular of previous Tax Clearance Certificate (if Any):\u00a0If you have any old TCC, provide the details. Fill this field to proceed.<\/p>\n

4. Has the Company Paid all assessments raised up to the immediate previous Year of
\nAssessment.<\/p>\n

5. If ‘No’ state the amount outstanding and the Year(s) affected.<\/p>\n

6. Any Special arrangement made with the revenue to liquidate the amount outstanding?
\nIf you have an arrangement with the authorities to liquidate the outstanding amount, then\u00a0answer this, yes.<\/p>\n

7. Any other relevant information:\u00a0Provide all the necessary information, relevant to your Tax Clearance, if any<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0Submitting the TCC Application
\nCrosscheck all information you provided to be sure of the accuracy and check the checkbox to confirm the information you have provided is correct and the submit button will be activated once\u00a0the checkbox is checked.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> One cannot\u00a0submit the application form unless the checkbox is checked.<\/p>\n

9.\u00a0Click on\u00a0activated \u2018Submit\u2019 button to submit the application and you will get a system generated Application No.
\nVery important:<\/strong><\/span> Preserve Application number for all further correspondences regarding the TCC Application.<\/p>\n

When the TCC is ready, you will get an email notification from FIRS.<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0Downloading the Tax Clearance Certificate<\/a><\/strong>
\nYou can download your Tax Clearance Certificate by logging into your profile.
\nClick on \u2018Download TCC\u2019 menu will open the Download TCC page. The taxpayer can enter the TCC No.\u00a0and click on \u201cDownload\u201d to download TCC. The TCC will be downloaded in PDF format<\/p>\n
