INTRODUCTION
According to Matthew 26:14-16, 21. Household enemies seek for an opportunity to hand you over to your enemies. It is happening in the house of God, in your environment. Jesus was sensitive enough to detect the plans of the household enemies.
It is not necessary you offend the household enemies; they seek to bring you down all because of envy and jealousy. They seek to turn the face of those that love you against you. There are some people, all you are doing for them is praying and loving them but they are doing all things possible to pull you down because that is their aim.
It is an established fact in God’s word that the enemy’s onslaught against you is facilitated by your close companions. Sometimes, you may not be related by blood but you live in the same neighborhood or attend the same church; they just have this envy and jealousy against you.
Judges 15:1-13. Samson was held bound by his enemies by men of his household. The members of his family sold him over to his enemies. Who do you depend on and put your confidence on [Micah 7:5-6]; that could be the secret of the leakage of your secrets.
WHAT IS HOUSEHOLD WICKNESS?
GENESIS 37:7-27 Household members are people that are close to you, they can be in form of families, neighbors or friends. Wickedness means “morally bad or objectionable, questionable character”. Some people are just envious of how much God has decided to bless you. Household wickedness is one singular reason why most people are in trouble today. Unknown to lots of people, that person in your office, the person that invited you to church could be envious and jealous of God’s blessings on you.
Some people are in the church together and they could be your worst enemies. Sometimes, God has assigned you to a man of God and yet manipulators in church would do all they can to turn your back against your God-ordained shepherd and spiritual helper. The question is who has given you a wrong counsel which has made your life sink? Many people are looking for their enemies outside their location and unknown to them, the enemies are already inside. The same person you are entering the church together, meeting for counselling and prayer could be behind your problems. The household enemies have bound and amputated the hand and destroyed the destiny of so many people. An outsider can never know what time you sleep, wake up, eat and your activities. There are so many people that are at your back door waiting to open your secrets to the external agents. We must be wise and know who we can trust and rely on.
A man’s enemies are the people of his household even in the church of God and unless you rise up to pray, they will finish you. Sometimes they hide, when you want to catch them, they smile and make you feel loved and you get confused at their identity again.
Some people at the top who think they have achieved prevent other people from rising up to the point they are. Some household enemies afflict people with the spirit of Egypt which is a spirit of slavery. Angels are not meant to be worshipped. They are your messengers though they are stronger and more powerful than you; yet, they are there to serve you.
PRAYERS AGAINST HOUSEHOLD WICKEDNESS WITH BIBLE VERSES.
Neh 6:12-13 Lord, reveal and expose any persons around me that the enemy may be using to gain entry into my life and this ministry.
John 10:12-13 I bind and remove from my life and ministry every hireling that cares not for the sheep, but would leave them defenseless against wolves.
I bind and remove every Judas, in whom betrayal and thievery is a way of life.
I bind and remove every Absalom, who is seeking status through subversion and stealing the hearts of the people from God ordained leadership.
I bind and remove every Nabal, whose heart is against your anointed and has no intent to help or assist in fulfilling our mission.
I bind and remove every Cain, who through jealousy and disobedience to God would seek to destroy the upright.
Neh 2:19, 6:2 I bind and remove every Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshum who instead of helping us, their hearts are set on mischief to be our enemy and our adversary.
I Kings 21:25 I bind and remove every Jezebel, sent to cut off God’s ministers and stir up wickedness.
And I bind and remove every agent of evil from my life, ministry, business, and family and I thank you Lord, for angels as ministering spirits who guard and protect us, hearkening to the voice of your Word.
Ps 91:10, Ps 33:10 I lose your protective covenant of protection over us, that no evil shall befall us and no weapon formed against us shall prosper. You bring the counsel of the heathen to nought, and make the devices of the people of none effect.
Isaiah 66:14 Lord, execute vengeance upon those spirits and agents of the devil. Cause your hand to be known toward your servants, and your indignation toward your enemies. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
John 6:64 Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
Psalm 21:8 Thy hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee v11 for they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
